5 Keto Chocolate Treats for Valentines Day
So with Valentines Day being today, I thought it would be a great idea to share some recipes for keto friendly ‘chocolate treats’ 💞💞💞. Now of course, in an ideal world, scoffing a whole box of Belgian Truffles would be the dream! 😝 However, for those of you who don’t want to do that, these 5 Keto Chocolate Treats for Valentines Day are perfect! Yay 💝
They are all super low in carbs, extremely easy to make (mostly) and can be enjoyed on your own or with your partner!
1. Keto Chocolate Sauce
A good chocolate sauce is so versatile and can be used for a number of tasty treats. A low carb, keto chocolate sauce on the other hand is like GOLD-DUST. Some of my favourite things to do with chocolate sauce
- Dipping in Strawberries (a few won’t kill your keto buzz)
- Blended into a homemade iced mocha (coffee, ice, cream, sweetener and chocolate sauce)
- Poured over Keto friendly cheesecake
- With a spoon or off your partner 🤣🤣🤣
- 3oz of 85% dark chocolate
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream
- 1 tbsp sweetener
- Pinch of sea salt
Heat cream gently but do not boil. Pour over chocolate and allow to melt. Add in sweetener and salt, enjoy!
2. Keto Cream Cheese Chocolate Truffles -1.5g Carbs
As I mentioned earlier, em truffles are amazing and always well received. I absolutely love creamy, dark ganache like truffles and so these cream cheese ones are just perfect. and are only 1.5 grams of carbs each. To make a batch of 12 heres what to do.
- 8 oz cream cheese at room temperature
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp sweetener
- 1 tsp espresso powder
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- Pinch of sea salt
Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl and beat with a hand-held mixer until smooth and creamy. Refrigerate for an hour.
After an hour, scoop out a teaspoon of mix and roll into a ball in your hand.
Dust with cocoa powder!
3. Keto Dark Chocolate Tart -2g Carbs
This chocolate tart is divine. 100% decadence and 100% satiating Serve a slice of this after your V day dinner for the ultimate keto-friendly chocolate indulgence! Serves 10.
- 160g or 6.5oz of 85% Dark Chocolate
- 100g or 4oz Butter
- 100ml or just under half a cup of Heavy Cream
- 3 Large Eggs
- 1 Tsp of Vanilla
- 1/2 cup sweetener
- A Pinch of Salt

4. Keto Lava Cake -2g Carbs
Even the sound of this makes my mouth water, HELLO LIQUID SQUIDGY CHOCOLATE. Yes please! This recipe might actually be the safest Valentines treat because you only make what you are going to eat meaning no scavenging for leftovers later 🤣🤣🤣. The recipe is for 1 lava cake so is perfect for everyone to enjoy!
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1-2 tbsp sweetener
- 1 medium egg
- 1 tbsp heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
Preheat your oven to 350f or 180c.
Mix all ingredients in a bowl.
Pour into a greased ramekin.
Bake for 10-12 minutes
5. Keto Chocolate Mousse -3g Carbs
This keto chocolate mousse is sweet, chocolatey and very rich. It’s essentially a fat bomb too and with only 3g of carbs per serving it’s a pretty decent Valentines Day treat!
- 1 Cup heavy cream
- 2 egg whites
- 1/4 Cup Unsweetened cocoa powder, sifted
- 1/4 Cup sweetener
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Not forgetting the Booze -1g Carbs per serving
This Chocolate Martini is basically a liquidised slice of cake that will get you drunk! It’s also bloody delicious and simple to make! Makes 4 drinks.
- 6 oz vanilla vodka
- ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup of your chocolate sauce
Add everything to a blender and blitz until creamy and smooth!
Serve in a fancy glass and enjoy.
