A Week of Keto: Day 2

Haiii guys, today is day 2 of this weeks blog series. By day 2 of eating keto you won’t feel any different but you will notice that you need to drink a sh!t tonne of water to stay hydrated. At this point your muscles are losing all their water and it’s very important to replace it to avoid dehydration 😛

Oh don’t be worrying. You won’t need to be buying food everyday as you are using a lot of the same items each day. Before you start you can do the shopping on the Sunday and then start Monday morning. Pantry essentials such as almond flour and sweetener and even dark chocolate will last you ages as it is used so little!

Below is Day 2 of my Sample Keto Menu for beginners and remember it is based on a 1,600 calorie diet plan.


Shopping List 🥩

  • Cream
  • Eggs
  • Minced beef
  • Cauliflower
  • Cheddar Cheese
  • Avocado
  • Almond Flour (ground almonds)
  • Dark Chocolate
  • Onion
  • Tinned Tomatoes
  • Ricotta Cheese
  • Mozzarella

Day 2 🍳


Breakfast- 268 cals, 22g fat, 4g carbs, 13g protein

Now, I like my coffee a bit fancy as I suspect most people do. With that in mind, a nice sweet creamy coffee and eggs is a great way to start your day. It’s inexpensive, tasty and keto approved!

  • Black Coffee
  • 2 tbsp of heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp of sugar-free syrup my fave one you can find here 
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs


Lunch- 395 cals, 25g fat, 8g carb, 31g protein

Loaded Cauliflower

  • 1 portion of Loaded Cauliflower Bake (recipe here)
  • Black coffee
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream


Dinner – 583 cals, 45g fat, 6g carb, 38g protein

This is a simple beef taco bowl that is both delicious and quick to make after a long day! Fry the beef, add the seasoning and dish it up 😉

  • 4 oz ground beef
  • half an avocado (medium)
  • 1 tbsp of taco seasoning
  • 2 oz of cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp sour cream


Snack –330 cals, 31g fat, 3g carb, 7g protein

This literally takes 3 minutes to throw together and is super comforting and tasty as a little post dinner/couch time snack! It also goes wonderfully with a Netflix binge 🤣

1576 cals, 123g fat, 21g carbs, 89g protein
